Woman’s Press Club of Indiana was established in 1913 by women who sought representation in their newsrooms and organizations as well as at the Indiana State Legislature.
Today, WPCI is one of the oldest continuously operating journalism organizations in the state. It also is a founding affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women, which formed in 1937. Members include men and women working in many areas of the new media landscape, from editing and writing to broadcast to public relations and marketing.
Woman’s Press Club of Indiana observed its centennial year in 2013 with special programs and a new section of the website dedicated to its history.
