Join Woman’s Press Club of Indiana for a free program featuring Jane Friedman, an award-winning editor, author and publisher, at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, in Batesville.
The program is the latest in the annual WPCI March education series for members and the public.
Friedman will speak on “How to Earn Money in a Creator Economy (Even If You Aren’t an Influencer).” She is author of The Business of Being a Writer, a guide offering what she calls the business education writers need but rarely receive.
An industry insider, Friedman offers a free newsletter, Electric Speed, featuring digital resources for content creators. Her paid newsletter, The Hot Sheet, includes resources for professional writers. In addition, Friedman frequently hosts classes on the business of freelancing.
WPCI organizers have reserved two locations in Batesville. The decision will be based on the number of attendees reserving their seats by March 9. Those who reserve will receive an email with the location and directions. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m.
To attend:
Non-members’ fee is $15 plus $2.85 ticketing fee ($17.85). Registration is online through EventBrite.
Members may attend for free, but must register.
Those who register will be notified of the location after registration closes March 9.
