Contest deadline Jan. 18

The annual Woman’s Press Club of Indiana communications contest kicks off
Oct. 1 and offers a chance for communications professionals to vie for top
honors in their areas.

The contest is open to writers, authors, copy editors, public affairs professionals, photographers, publishers or others in the communication field. Entries must be published or posted during the 2022 calendar year. The deadline for entries is Jan. 18, 2023. Book entry deadline is Feb. 1.

The contest is administered by the National Federation of Press Women, of which WPCI is an affiliate. WPCI members who win first-place honors compete with other affiliate first-place winners in the national NFPW contest.

WPCI winners will be announced in March and honored at the annual communications banquet in May. The national winners will be announced in April and presented with awards at the NFPW conference in June in Cincinnati.

Here’s how to enter:

Set up your account at NFPW.

Complete the info for each entry and either upload materials or supply URLs.

Fees are $20 for first entry, $15 each for additional entries for WPCI members; $25 for first entry and $20 each for additional entries for nonmembers. Fees are payable online.

Deadline is Jan. 18, 2023. Can’t stick a deadline? Pay a one-time $25 fee in addition to entry fees no later than Feb. 8, 2023. (Note: The late deadline for books is Feb. 1.)
