With the in-person conference cancelled this year, the National Federation of Press Women has moved the annual awards event online, and you can participate.
“Where Diamonds Shine” will air on Zoom at 8 p.m. ET June 6 with NFPW President Gwen Larson opening the ceremony and member Angela Smith providing live drum roll salutes to award recipients.
You’ll also see a slideshow announcing the names and rankings of the entries for first second, third and honorable mention honors. Watch for these Woman’s Press Club of Indiana members whose work moved to the national level after winning first-place awards in the state contest: Beth Edwards, Natalie Hoefer, Carol Michel, Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp and Jessica Shrout. You can participate, too, by typing notes of congratulations online as the winners are announced and honored. And, have your beverage of choice ready as the entire group will toast the winners.

To join in this celebration, send an RSVP by May 26 to NFPW headquarters at info@nfpw.org. You’ll receive an email with a link to the online celebration and the password to join the event.
Please do NOT share the link and password to help avoid the possibility of a hacker joining the celebration.
