The Woman’s Press Club communications contest kicks off today, Oct. 1, to honor the best work of 2019.
The annual contest is open to any journalists, writers, public relations pros and educators, among others, and offers numerous categories for writing, reporting, editing, design and visual communications.
Those who win first place in the WPCI contest compete at the national level with other state affiliates of the National Federation of Press Women contest. The Indiana club sponsors both a professional and a high school level contest.
All details are online, but you may wish to browse the categories and other details on the WPCI page of the national website. You’ll find details such as eligibility, categories, entry fees and deadlines.
Work published, posted or aired during the 2019 calendar year is eligible. Deadline is Jan. 28, 2020, for most entries. Submissions are online only, except for published books (details online).
WPCI winners will be announced at the annual banquet in April, and WPCI entries winning or placing at the national level will be honored at the NFPW conference in June.
